Drama Therapy
Having worked in the field of mental health for nearly 30 years as a psychiatric nurse, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and university lecturer, Emma has extensive clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in both group settings and on an individual basis.
During this time, she spent 26 years working as a clinician at Roehampton Priory, as well as in schools, charities, universities, workplaces, and private practice.
She has experience with a diverse range of issues, such as trauma, bereavement, depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, psychosis, personality disorder, eating disorders and addictions.
With her background as a drama therapist, then later an EMDR therapist, Emma provides an integrative approach, blending various techniques such as talking therapy with creative, experiential methods. She passionately believes in using the transformative potential of creativity to convey complex emotions and experiences that may be challenging to articulate through talking alone. This approach creates a safe and nurturing environment for personal exploration, that can lead to profound insights, healing, and growth.
