Psychotherapist

Lauren is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of clinical experience in the field of psychology. Over the course of her career, she has had the privilege of working at world-renowned research centers in the UK, including the center for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT) and the Anxiety Disorders Unit (ADRU) at the Maudsley Hospital. Before specializing in the treatment of anxiety and obsessional disorders, she spent several years working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), which uniquely positioned her to support both young people and their families, as well as adults.

Her academic journey began in New Zealand, where she studied at the University of Otago and the University of Canterbury. Prior to becoming a clinical psychologist, she earned a Law Honours Degree (LLB Hons), completed her Professional Studies in Law (PROFS), and was admitted to the New Zealand Bar as a lawyer. Although she values her legal education, she chose to follow her true passion—psychology.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology (BA), a Master’s Degree with Honours in Psychology (MA Hons), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PGDipClinPsych). After relocating to the UK, she became an accredited Cognitive behavioral Therapist and completed additional training in family therapy, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Systemic Therapy. This systemic approach now enriches her work with couples and families affected by anxiety and obsessional disorders.
