Somatic Experiencing

Lorraine’s primary model of psychotherapy is Psychosynthesis. She qualified in 2001 and has since worked to develop her field of study and practice. The core principle of Psychosynthesis—that there is no separation between mind, body, and spirit—has been the guiding force in the direction of her continued study over the years, ultimately leading her to Somatic Experiencing.

This modality, which falls under the banner of Somatic Psychologies, fascinated her from the very beginning, as it provides the tools to work directly with the imprints of life experiences held in the body. These imprints can cause disruptions in the form of trauma-related symptoms such as depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, underperformance, and many more.
