La gabapentina se prescribe para determinadas crisis epilépticas y el dolor neuropático. Puede ayudar cuando se utiliza adecuadamente, pero son posibles los efectos secundarios, la dependencia física y el uso indebido. Los efectos secundarios durante el uso prescrito no significan por sí solos adicción.
