Ritalin est une marque de méthylphénidate, un stimulant sur ordonnance utilisé pour le TDAH et la narcolepsie. Il peut être efficace lorsqu’il est prescrit et surveillé de manière appropriée, mais il présente également un potentiel de mésusage, de dépendance et de surdosage. Une hausse des prescriptions ou de la production ne permet pas à elle seule de déterminer combien de personnes présentent une dépendance.
Heureusement, la dépendance au Ritalin peut être prise en charge, et le rétablissement est possible grâce à un traitement adapté et à une planification des soins à long terme.
